WRITE FOR TEENS IN PRINT
To join the after-school Teens in Print staff, please download the necessary paperwork (application and teacher recommendation), and send them to the address below.
To take part in our Summer Journalism Institute, download these (application and teacher recommendation) and, likewise, send them to the address below. For summer, priority is given to those who file before May 15th.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
SEND your essays, letters, articles, commentaries, poems, stories, pen and ink drawings, cartoons, and photos.
E-mail submissions to: ric.kahn.jcs@cityofboston.gov
Send them as MS Word attachments and in the e-mail message.
Provide your name, age, grade, and school. We don’t print anything anonymously. You must be a BPS student.
FORMAT your writing:
- Double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font.
- In the upper left corner, print your name, contributing writer, and a title or headline.
Whatever you submit has to be YOUR OWN CREATION.
We only print original work. Please write “this is my own creation” next to your name.
You will not get your work back; keep a copy for yourself.
T.i.P. reserves the right to EDIT your work for length, content, or appropriateness.
